Random TTRPG Thoughts #5

Friday has come again, my brain is caffeinated, and I hold the story of worlds in my head. Of course, holding the story of multiple worlds in my head is bound to cause my synapses to misfire. These are random TTRPG thoughts.

  1. I got to chat with Kelsey Dionne this week! I confess I did fanboy a bit 1.
  2. I imagined many names my Numenera party might come up with, “Murder Fire 13b” was nowhere on the list. I am so proud.
  3. Someone force me to post my ICRPG one shot on the PaxU community board. Otherwise I’ll probably chicken out 2.
  4. I have no idea if I’m a decent GM. But people keep playing so I guess that’s an ok sign? Imposter syndrome is a real thing.
  5. I got invited to be part of a live stream play! More news on that in December.
  6. My encounters with folks who make the games for this wonderful hobby have been beyond amazing. For this, I’m grateful.
  7. I got paid some amazing compliments for my channel this past week. It’s humbling, but it’s also nice to know stuff I create is valued by folks.
  8. The Dungeon Minister held a con. This inspired me to take the plunge for a long-pondered idea. If all goes well “Ecclesicon” will coming in April 2024!
  9. Last night I had my Basic Fantasy RPG party run a gauntlet to destroy an ancient artifact whose power was holding open a portal that was swallowing a town 3. The session before they killed an evil god so I thought it would be a nice, easy, resolution with more tension than danger. They almost got taken out by some low level followers of the defeated God.
  10. Role playing games help me be social. And I’m rather amazed by the connections I’ve formed because of them.
  1. Check out the interview!

  2. Also, can someone help me with the protocol for doing this?

  3. As one does.
