Random TTRPG Thoughts #25

Welcome to (unofficial) Summer! It’s the first day of the work week, my brain doesn’t want to wake up, and I came down to a full sink of dishes before coffee. I’m both groggy and cranky, and these are random TTRPG thoughts.

  1. I’m going to run a test of Forbidden Lands this Wednesday. So that’ll be interesting.
  2. I need to try out FantasyAGE at some point.
  3. I got to play a hacked version of Marvel Super Heroes RPG this weekend. It was my second time running The Bolt and I enjoy this character a lot. He’s…quirky.
  4. I pulled out an old Wonderdraft map yesterday and reworked a number of elements. It should be an interesting world to play in, if I get the chance to develop anything.
  5. More and more I’m coming to like games with simple mechanics that get out of the way of game play.
  6. I created a Savage Worlds character last week and recorded the process. It’ll be my video on the DM Tales YouTube channel this week.
  7. Part One of my Forbidden Lands written review will be posted to the site later this week. I need to do some more editing first. It’ll become the bulk of my video review on the game.
  8. I created a new tee-shirt design last week, I’m rather fond of it.
  9. Last week I helped a friend make up his first character so he can join our Numenera campaign. He’s been doing research on the system since then and that makes me happy.
  10. I’m going to put together a Dragonbane table so my youngest can play with other folks more often.
