I have returned from traveling over the past week. Coffee has been ingested, some writing has been accomplished, and I have nowhere to be. On days like this my mind wanders, and I’m not worried about my mental journeys making me feel guilty. These are random TTRPG thoughts.
- Playing a role-playing game on vacation is fun. Playing it in a hotel lobby where the air conditioning is broken and the humidity is so high thinking is difficult is not.
- Into the Odd‘s character creation process is so simple we rolled up five characters in about 10 minutes. One player was 6 and the other had never touched an RPG before.
- My BFRPG campaign is on hiatus for two more weeks as Summer events and vacation travel is overwhelming the schedule. It’s been a nice break, but I’m eager to get back.
- I’m glad DC20 did had an amazing Kickstarter, and I also didn’t back it because it’s just not the style of game I want to run. It looks good, though.
- I need to run Brindlewood Bay at some point.
- I wore three of my DM Tales tee-shirts while on vacation. No comments, though. Bummer.
- I got to play Ironbound before I left for my vacation. It was a lot of fun.
- John Fredericks, from Sharp Mountain Games, created the Goblin GM image attached to this list. I think it’s fun, so are John’s modules.
- I’ve made up a couple of super hero characters using Monte Cook Games’ character builder. I’m thinking Cypher might make a fun engine to run a super-hero game with.
- My older videos are getting views again following my “Favorite Game” list. The algorithm is pleased?
