It’s another week and there isn’t enough coffee around to keep me from drifting off into a world of misfired neurons triggered by shiny objects. These are random TTRPG thoughts.
- I have a bit of cash right now, but I’m holding off on buying more books because my review queue is kinda drowning me at the moment.
- My Basic Fantasy RPG table did not have their best play session last week. It was really close to being a TPK.
- Monte Cook Games products boast some really good essays on how to world build for different genres. I recommend them.
- I wanted to play more Dragonbane this Summer. That didn’t work out like I wanted.
- I’m gonna play Shadowdark at PAGE 2. I am excited by this. I’m also signed up to play Crown and Skull, so I kinda need to read that game.
- When you’re in a crypt and an armored apparition appears who, when addressed, only hisses “Key” and “Leave” do not try to stab the apparition.
- Pro-tip. When you unleash a lightning bolt from your enchanted axe it’s a really good idea to make sure your party’s healer isn’t in the line of fire.
- I’m always happen when people invite me to play a game with them. I wish I could accept more!
- September 28 is Ecclesicon: Day of Adventure. Come on out to Palmyra, NJ and raise some money for BookSmiles!
- I’m looking forward to purchasing some more TTRPG games. There are worse things than being buried by one’s review queue.
