Allergies are raging, my little brought a second round of sniffles home from school and shared them with me, and it’s really early. But I’ve had coffee and so my addled neural pathways are springing to unmanaged action. These are random TTRPG thoughts.
- My friend, Dave Ward from Grimwood Games, and I are running an actual play on October 22 at 8PM to raise money for folks impacted by Hurricane Helene. By the time we play we’ll have to add Hurricane Milton to the list. It’ll be on his channel, come help us out.
- I get to run my Numenera Group at the Brewery this week. That’s always a good time.
- Heroes of Cerulea is as close as you can get to The Legend of Zelda TTRPG without getting sued. It’s all video game logic, which would be fun for a few sessions as a change of pace!
- October 22nd’s stream will be using Cypher System in a fantasy setting, which I am excited to try out. The whole adventure will be rolled up in real-time, and that’ll be interesting.
- My first homebrew Into The Odd crawl is about 85% completed. I’m interested to see how it plays!
- I’ve started getting into the details for the final adventure in my Basic Fantasy RPG campaign. It’s been a great three years, and one day we’ll have to revisit these characters.
- Do other people hear the unread books on their shelf mocking them, or is that just me?
- I get to drop off the check from Ecclesicon: Day of Adventure today. We raised $565 for Booksmiles!
- My youngest’s Dragonbane character is a wolfkin fighter with really low charisma. When he asked me what that meant I said, “Well, it means people tend to not like him.” So when he plays the character tends to punch everyone soon after meeting them. Followed by bossing them around. I’m not sure if I should be alarmed by this, or pleased that he recognizes these things as having a high “unlikeability” factor.
- I’m looking forward to my youngest growing up just a bit so I can run a game with his friends.
