Random TTRPG Thoughts #12

It’s morning, my coffee is brewed, and my synapses are just beginning to fire. These are random TTRPG thoughts.

  1. Monte Cook Games customer service is terrific.
  2. Free League has announced another Coriolis game and a brand new third party license. I am intrigued.
  3. I think everyone from my online Basic Fantasy RPG table is coming to Ecclesicon. We’ll get to play in person!
  4. My little wanted to play No Thank You, Evil while he was in the tub. So I made up a mini-golf adventure and we used Siri to roll dice. He had a blast 1.
  5. When you’re playing in a funnel and a character decides to attack NPCs who have not taken any hostile moves, it is OK for your character to attack the offending character 2.
  6. Shadowdark is a ton of fun to play.
  7. I got the first Ninth World Bestiary for Numenera, and now I have ideas 3.
  8. I rolled up a Dragonbane character with my little, he’s a Wolfkin fighter with a charisma of 7. I told him that people tend to not like the character and he steered right into it with a grin 4. The character’s name is “Beetum Up 5.”
  9. The little has also rolled up a Basic Fantasy RPG character, and has now played more systems than a lot of adults.
  10. I have begun writing a core mechanic for the game I’d like to write. Right now it’s going to be using EZD6‘s engine.
  11. I found a AD&D 1e Players Handbook with the Trampier Cover for only $50 in great condition! Oh yes, I purchased it.
  1. And now mini-golf is going to be the basic of my No Thank You, Evil adventure at Ecclesicon

  2. This is a lesson I needed to learn sooner.

  3. Bwahahahahahaha!!!!

  4. Like he started doing things which would cause people to not like him, and thought it was hysterical.

  5. The name is his, the spelling is mine. His name is also, apparently, what he chants when he’s trying to freak people out as they’re coming to attack him.

  1. @dmtales.com I love to see #ttrpg shelves, even if we don't seem to have a single game in common. 🙂
