Random TTRPG Thoughts #30
It’s July! I’m taking some time off, the humidity is low, the coffee is brewed, and I have no where to be. It’s times like this when my brain idles in neutral, until the spark plugs of my brain begins misfiring random nonsense. These are random TTRPG thoughts.
- When I’m running Numenera I need to do a better job communicating the number of creatures attacking a party whenever I’m using packs. Folks kept thinking groups of 4 were just one creature, so that’s a skill I can improve.
- If you’re into Monster Hunter and want a quick game to pick up and play, check out my review of Knave 2e.
- I’m not running any scheduled games the next couple of weeks, which feels weird. But I do get to play Ironbound with Dave Ward and the folks from Avenue Studios this week!
- As of this writing the current number to reach 3000 subscribers is 37!
- I might have something really cool to announce in the next week or so. We shall see.
- July is Indie RPG Month, are you playing any games to celebrate?
- What are some fun RPGs to bring on vacation that don’t need a lot of setup?
- A number of my players have watched my “10 player types” video and said, “That’s me!” That makes me happy.
- When I started doing reviews I was concerned I’d run out of material to review. My queue is now so long I may never finish it. But I’m going to try!
- There are no kings in the United States of America.

6 – My weekly slate of games includes campaigns of both Best Left Buried and Public Access. I’m also trying to get some Dungeon World and One Shot World (it’s super light-weight cousin) to my table. It would be fun to try to get a couple of indie RPGs in this month.

Nice! I ran an emulator in a Dungeon World adventure and it was a BLAST.
